The DI’s Arts

The disability arts available for viewing and hearing via The Disability Issue are types of literature and music. I wrote poetry when the COVID-19 crisis started and have continued to do so. I have recorded some music too. It is only available via a YouTube video recording, and the music lacks quality at the moment. However, plans to improve the sounds exist; it just might take some time to do so.

Regarding the songs written that relate to disability, the music I’ve made currently only involves my vocals and guitar. In the future, collaboration with other musicians will take place if others are interested. I want to write new songs with other disabled people. However, singing about our issues in society is always a must do with my music.

The arts I’ve offered others are available to read below, and can also be heard out loud on YouTube if you wish.

The Festival of Equality

As it blooms it will boom words that only summon truth

As it blooms it will bounce the crowds that sense pride

As it blooms it will lead and fairly feed us with care

As it blooms it will blast away rats beyond sight

Performance to work and open artists can sing

Human rights to win smoothly, human rights we will bring

No acts of injustice lead to fights in a ring

Human rights to win smoothly, human rights we will bring

Those that speak from the stalls ensure supplies are accessible

Those that speak from the stalls offer memories to save

Those that speak from the stalls spread humour with ability

Those that speak from the stalls are all trusted, so sane

Performance to work and open artists can sing

Human rights to win smoothly, human rights we will bring

No acts of injustice lead to fights in a ring

Human rights to win smoothly, human rights we will bring

New friendships that form give platforms to pounce upon

New friendships that form sell special tastes from our lives

New friendships that form can be sublime and respectable

New friendships that form lead to lasting relations in time

Performance to work and open artists can sing

Human rights to win smoothly, human rights we will bring

No acts of injustice lead to fights in a ring

Human rights to win smoothly, human rights we will bring

But common trust is just dust

It can obscurely infect eyes

No entity is immaculate

Although backed shadows summon thrives

Our Magnificent Tower

Let us shape and let us flower

We can build our magnificent tower

Crooks fluently speak sham and do not know what to do

And we are strong people and part of the purest of people

We can work with true people and clean stains by the fake

Some want to sue

But who wants flu?

Bad rash is born from each case

Yet what lies ahead is the place we can plant a bright flag

Is a national divorce the next step that we take?

They are fake, claim to lead but just take

Stuff filthy egos with power

With a drug

The most sour

So, it is our time to rise; we can all surprise them

And take their power away with our magnificent tower that will shame

True Just One Table

Read the text from below, download the PDF version or watch and/or listen to it via YouTube here.

Collaboration impregnation arose some time ago

Working so hard always are secluded foundations

The real disabled make stable a true just one table

Although so small, the one table has character

It can speak

It can shout

It works to rout

But the outs simply struggle to be heard by the neutral

We sit in a safari where glances fixate on the desert

They discern lions who roar and giraffes with reach

Will they notice one small table for long?

Yet, if our foundations are filled firm let us maintain our main base

Grow legs

Gain height

Grab attention

Frame fight

The great sight will overcome what others only expect to observe

As we display justly exposures using growth and unforeseen talents for all

Music

I still need to record my music in a professional manner, and I’ll have to wait until at least August to get in done via Z-Arts music studio in Manchester. I could buy my own equipment, but it’s a major investment to make, and I’ll need to make sure I understand what I’m buying and how to work it well.

However, here are links to two tracks I’ve recorded via video on YouTube. They tracks available are entitled “Afar of Plea” and “World of Traits”, although I have other tunes to record in the future too.
